Publication Ethics Policy
1. Ethical Principles
The Herald of Advanced Information Technology adheres to the COPE Core Practices and international standards of scholarly publishing ethics. All parties involved in the publication process - authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher - are expected to act with integrity, transparency, and accountability.
2. Duties of Authors
- Ensure originality of submitted manuscripts;
- Avoid plagiarism, redundant, or duplicate publication;
- Provide accurate and verifiable research data;
- Properly acknowledge sources and contributions;
- Disclose all conflicts of interest and funding sources;
- Comply with ethical standards of research involving data, humans, or software.
3. Duties of Editors
- Ensure fair, unbiased, and timely peer review;
- Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts;
- Make publication decisions based solely on academic merit;
- Avoid conflicts of interest in editorial decisions.
4. Duties of Reviewers
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews;
- Maintain confidentiality of manuscripts;
- Disclose any conflicts of interest;
- Do not use manuscript content for personal advantage.
5. Ethical Misconduct
The journal considers the following as ethical misconduct:
- Plagiarism in any form;
- Data fabrication or falsification;
- Citation manipulation;
- Duplicate or redundant publication;
- Unethical authorship practices.
All cases of misconduct are handled in accordance with COPE guidelines.
6. Editorial Actions
In cases of ethical violations, the journal may take the following actions:
- Request revision or clarification;
- Reject the manuscript;
- Retract published articles;
- Issue an expression of concern;
- Notify authors’ institutions or funding bodies.
