Article Processing Charges
Herald of Advanced Information Technology (HAIT) follows an open access publishing model that ensures the immediate availability of published research to readers worldwide without subscription barriers.
To support editorial workflow, peer review management, production, and long-term digital preservation, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only after manuscript acceptance.
Article Processing Charge
The minimum APC is 5 EUR per page (approximately 500 UAH per page).
The APC covers the following publication services:
- plagiarism checking using StrikePlagiarism software;
- manuscript formatting according to journal requirements;
- assignment of technical metadata (DOI registration, indexing preparation, etc.);
- publishing infrastructure costs (Crossref services, hosting, and archiving).
The APC is subject to periodic review and may be updated by the Editorial Board in response to operational and infrastructure costs.
Policy on Fees and Editorial Independence
All manuscripts undergo full peer review. No fees are charged during the review process. Authors are not required to pay any charges for rejected manuscripts.
Payment of APC does not influence editorial decisions. Acceptance is based solely on scientific quality, originality, and relevance.
There are no additional fees for the act of publication.
Additional Services (Optional)
Upon author request, the Editorial Office may provide additional editorial and technical services. These services are optional and are not included in the standard APC.
- typesetting of mathematical formulas (MathType): from 50 UAH per page containing formulas (depending on complexity);
- English language translation: 200 UAH per 1800 characters;
- Ukrainian translation (abstract, keywords): 200 UAH per 1800 characters;
- subject-area translation quality review: 150 UAH per 1800 characters;
- editing and proofreading: from 150 UAH per 1800 characters;
- reference formatting (e.g., IEEE style): 30 UAH per reference.
The scope and cost of additional services are agreed individually with authors after initial editorial assessment and prior to publication. No fees are charged for manuscripts that are not accepted.
Printed Copies
Printed versions of the journal may be ordered separately upon request and are not included in the APC.
